Dear Students,

My role as Administration Officer is a fairly new role in the Law Society, having been introduced only last year. As admin officer, I provide support to the work of the other officers to ensure that we are able to provide you with the best events, activities and opportunities that would guarantee you a fantastic university experience and equip you for your future careers.

As you may know by now, the Society offers a variety of vocational, social and sporting events. As we seek to build you up as a well-rounded law student and a future professional, another event to look forward to this year is RAGGING (Raising and Giving) which I will be spearheading. It is a fun and exciting event to raise money and give to our chosen charities. This is also a great opportunity to prove that we in the field of law are not soulless, selfish creatures but in fact, we are at par, if not even more willing than the medics (who have a very strong RAGGING contribution) to take part in something that would benefit others. ;) This event will be further explained in the coming year, but if anyone is particularly interested in being involved in this charity work, please feel free to contact me.

I am also in charge of the Law Society hoodies. To get a first look, please visit the Law Society website, and you can place your order through the site as well (perfect for the autumn/winter season too!)! The hoodie is great way of letting the world know that not only are you part of one of the UK’s premier law schools, but also one of the country’s best societies too!

(For all you know, you might just bag a work experience or make great contacts with solicitors and barristers you bump into on any London transport because of your KCL Law Society hoodie!)

On behalf of the KCL Law Society, welcome! As we all know, learning does not only happen in the four walls of the lecture hall (though I still encourage you to do your work from day 1. ;) ). Take advantage of every workshop; attend every party and RAG to your heart’s content. Make the most of your year, as you’ll only go through it once! I wish you all the best and please feel free to contact me on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for any queries.
