100% Lawyer, 100% You

At Field Fisher Waterhouse we value more than just talent, ambition and great qualifications. We don’t believe in developing legal clones; the people who do the best here have interests, experience and a life outside the office.  We acknowledge and recognise the importance of a work-life balance. We believe that to be 100% lawyer at Field Fisher Waterhouse, you have to be 100% you.

Sports and Social at FFW

We make every effort at FFW to ensure that everyone gets an opportunity to integrate between departments and firm wide by organising regular sports and social events. We have a number of excellent sports teams here at FFW including netball, football, squash and hockey. On the social side, there are also various firm wide events held throughout each year such as summer and winter drinks parties, a softball tournament, a quiz night and a fun run. The trainees also have their own social committee who organise regular trainee events; highlights this year include a cocktail masterclass, a dodge ball tournament and a Christmas party.

Opportunities

In 2012, we will be offering two vacation schemes, one in April and one in July, so students can experience life at FFW. During the vacation scheme, you will be based in one department and be given real work to do for clients. Students can expect to be treated as trainees during their two week placement and will be paid £250 per week. Applications for vacation schemes close on 13th February 2012.
We are currently recruiting to fill up to 15 vacancies to commence in September 2014. During your studies, Field Fisher Waterhouse will pay your law school fees for both the GDL (if applicable) and the LPC, and our future trainees are given maintenance grants to help them whilst studying. Trainees will be offered four seats and from the start, will carry out real work for real clients. Applications for training contracts will close on 31st July 2012.
